PANGUITCH — Dixie National Forest is seeking public input about opening and closing roads for motorized use.
The Powell Ranger District of the forest is holding a series of public open houses to consider the future of open and closed roads in the district. The district is considering changing the decision on some specific roads under the 2009 Dixie National Forest Motorized Travel Plan decision.
The open houses will be Tuesday, at the Community Center, 210 S. Center, Circleville; Thursday, at Triple C Arena, Panguitch; April 30, at Heritage Center, Tropic; and May 2, Search & Rescue Building, Airport Road, Kanab.
Each event is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 to hear a brief presentation on the overview of the issues.
