OGDEN — A woman was killed Sunday after her car veered off the road into a pole and then a parked car.
The woman, 41, was driving south on Harrison Boulevard in a 2007 Saturn around 6:20 a.m. in Ogden when her car left the road, jumped the curb, and crashed into a pole and a Cadillac Escalade parked in a nearby driveway, which propelled into a Ford Ranger, said Ogden Police Lt. Troy Burnett.
The crash occurred on the 20th block of Harrison. Although investigators haven't determined how fast she was traveling, Burnett estimated she was driving at least the speed limit in the area, which he said was around 40 mph. Her car came to a stop at 2050 S. Harrison Blvd.
"It was a significant impact," Burnett said.
The woman was transported to a hospital in Ogden where she was declared dead. Her name has not yet been released.
