MISSOULA, Mont. — In their two earlier games against Northern Arizona this season, Weber State delivered two completely different performances. In the first, the Wildcats easily put away the Lumberjacks. The second meeting went into overtime, and WSU needed to rally from a seven-point deficit to stay alive.
It was a major wake-up call, and Weber State learned. The ‘Cats dominated from tip to buzzer in their 81-58 win Thursday to advance to the Big Sky Tournament semifinals. WSU will play North Dakota, which beat Southern Utah, Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Dahlberg Arena.
The Wildcats won both meetings this season against North Dakota, 95-63 in Ogden and 66-51 in Grand Forks.
UND is led by unanimous first-team all-BSC guard Troy Huff (19.2 ppg) and Aaron Anderson (13.6 ppg). Huff, however, has struggled mightily this season against Weber. In the two matchups, he’s shot 5-for-25 from the field.
