PROVO, Utah — For the second week in a row, the No. 39 BYU men’s tennis team faces a nationally ranked team in No. 60 New Mexico on Saturday at the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts.
The Lobos (8-7) will be the eighth ranked team to compete against the Cougars (12-4) this season. BYU owns a 5-2 record against those teams, including a 4-3 victory over No. 47 San Diego last week.
No. 42 Patrick Kawka and sophomore Francis Sargeant share a team-high 12 regular-season wins in singles play. The pair also competes in doubles competition together and has earned an 11-3 mark on the year.
The doubles duo of Keaton Cullimore and John Pearce has earned 11 wins this season too, with most of their playing time coming at the No. 3 doubles position.
New Mexico comes to Provo on a three-match win streak. The Lobos most recently notched a victory over in-state opponent New Mexico State last week at home.
The match starts at noon MDT. Admission is free.
