Utah State defender Natalie Norris was invited to participate in the Invitational Combine for FC Kansas City as part of the newly formed National Women's Soccer League.
The team held open tryouts at UMKC’s Durwood Stadium on Feb. 16- 17. Over 65 players participated. FC Kansas City head coach Vlatko Andonovski and his technical staff picked nine players from the open tryouts to take part in the combine, including Norris.
FC Kansas City will now invite 20-25 players for the Invitational Combine on March 2-3, including the nine players from this past weekend’s open tryouts. The list of players invited from the weekend’s event are:

F – Calderon, Ariana
D – Carter, Natalie
MF – Dreska, Molly
MF – French, Jamie
D – Norris, Natalie
F – Rodriguez, Andrea
MF – Strnadova, Vendula
The Sandy, Utah, native had a highly decorated Utah State career. Norris was named the Western Athletic Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player after leading Utah State to its second-straight WAC tournament title in November. Norris earned the WAC Defensive Player of the Year award for the third consecutive season and led the Aggies to a 13-3-6 record. A three-time all-WAC first team selection, Norris was the mainstay of a Utah State defense that allowed 13 goals.
