After losing by 45 points to Houston on Monday night, the Jazz bounced back to narrowly escape the New Orleans Hornets, 104-99.
Utah was down 12 points early in the first quarter, but clawed its way back by outscoring the Hornets in the second quarter, 32-18.
The Jazz starters put together an efficient second half to stay in front of the Hornets. Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap turned up the heat late in the game and finished with 22 and 25 points respectively. Millsap also had 10 rebounds for a double-double.
Starting point guard Greivis Vasquez led New Orleans with 17 points and 13 assists in 39 minutes.
