WEST JORDAN — A West Jordan High School junior has been chosen to represent Utah as a national youth correspondent in Washington, D.C.
Taylor Stevens will join about 150 students from around the country for a weeklong study of journalism and media held at George Mason University. Stevens was nominated by her journalism adviser at West Jordan High, and she aspires to become a print or television news reporter specializing in politics.
As a correspondent, Stevens will meet members of the Washington Press Club. She serves as the chief editor of the school newspaper.
