SYRACUSE — Residents can donate via their city utility bill to a proposed playground for children with disabilities.
The Chloe Sunshine Playground, which would offer disabled children a place to play, has been in the fundraising stages for multiple years.
The first phase’s estimated cost is $410,000. So far, residents, local businesses and Davis County have donated more than $250,000 toward the project.
There are three ways for residents to donate: Write on the utility payment check what portion of the payment should be donated to Chloe’s Playground, donate online at syracuserecreation.com, or give in person at America First Credit Union to account No. 905624-3.
Checks should be made out to “The Charitable Foundation of Syracuse City,” a nonprofit 501(c)3 foundation. All funds will be immediately routed to the foundation, which is not connected to Syracuse City’s account.
Donors who contribute $100-$150 are eligible for a 6-inch-by-6-inch paver brick with their personal names or business name engraved into it. Donors who contribute $150 or more are eligible for a 6-inch-by-9-inch paver brick. Once the donation is made, please contact Kresta Robinson at 801-614-9654 to give the information to be engraved on the paver.
