HERRIMAN — At the direction of the Jordan School District Board of Education, a boundary is being established for the new middle school scheduled to open in fall 2013 in Herriman.
Specific details of the boundaries can be found on the district website. The new middle school will feed exclusively to Herriman High School.
The school board took feedback from students, parents and the public in open house meetings and via an online survey. The final boundary was approved by the board Tuesday.
Under the Utah open enrollment law, schools are required to accept permits until they reach their building capacity.
Permits are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis during the open enrollment window, which began Dec. 1 and runs through Feb. 15. Students who wish to apply for an open enrollment permit should contact the administration of the school for which a permit is being requested.
Parents with questions regarding busing eligibility should contact Teri Timpson at 801-567-8342 or Anthony Godfrey at 801-567-8316.
