SALT LAKE CITY — Utah First Credit Union has warmed the soles of thousands of Utah kids, gifting new shoes to needy children for over 10 years. Every year hundreds of children attend Utah schools in worn out or poor fitting shoes. With the generous support of its members and local businesses, UFCU provides new shoes to kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Salt Lake, YWCA, Whittier Elementary School, Guadalupe Schools, Homeless Youth Resource Center, Salt Lake Education Foundation and the Granite Education Foundation. This year UFCU's Warm the Soles Program has raised more than $8,000 to help more than 500 children get the shoes they desperately need.
