The Marriott Center was loud Saturday night.
Although a lot of the noise started with the excitement of top recruit Jabari Parker visiting Provo, the Cougars on the court benefited from the extra noise.
BYU guard Tyler Haws led the way for the Cougars with a game high 32 points as they defeated Cal State Northridge, 87-75.
BYU was up by 13 points midway through the second half but forfeited its lead with four minutes remaining in the game when the Matadors' Stephan Hicks made a jumper to help his team go up 74-73.
Then behind Haws and Brandon Davies, BYU rattled off 12 straight points to take the win and send the Matadors home with their first loss of the season.
Full recap coming soon.
