This fall, a new program will bring a little comedy to BYUtv.
"Studio C" follows the format of popular late night television show "Saturday Night Live," albeit a kid-friendly version. "Studio C" has two- to three-minute shorts portraying awkward moments in life that happen to everyone, along with parodies on American culture.
With several new shows beginning this fall, BYUtv is looking to appeal to a younger audience. Although "Studio C" is designed for all ages, skits deal with the day-to-day lives of college students. Other parodies poke fun at things such as the popular workout video P90X, the old-time video game "Oregon Trail," returning to a high school reunion, future Facebook careers and more.
The show is produced by BYU alumnus Jared Shores and includes a cast of four comedians from the Provo-based sketch comedy troupe Divine Comedy: Whintey Call, Mallorey Everton, Jason Grey and Matt Meese.
"Studio C" premieres Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. on BYUtv.
