SALT LAKE CITY — Young hunters will have an opportunity to test their skills during Utah's special youth waterfowl hunt. The hunt will take place Sept. 22, hosted by conservation officers with the Division of Wildlife Resources and members of the Utah Waterfowl Association.

Youths must be a graduate of Utah's Hunter Education program, and be at least 12 years old, and no older than 15 years old, on Sept. 22.
Young hunters also must provide their own ammunition, shotgun, waders, hunting license and basic personal hunting gear. The guide, boats and decoys will be provided free of charge.
Parents or legal guardians must accompany youths on the hunt, and youths must sign a liability waiver.
