SOUTH SUMMIT 65, GUNNISON 13: South Summit jumped out to a 56-0 lead at halftime, and left Gunnison in the rearview mirror as it romped the home team in region play.

MILLARD 17, SUMMIT ACADEMY 14: Millard shook off a scoreless first quarter to trounce Summit Academy in region play. Rudy Alcala sealed the victory with a 21-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.

LAYTON CHRISTIAN 28, AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 7: Ayan Burton scored on a pair of rushing touchdowns, and Layton Christian managed to hold American Leadership scoreless through the first three quarters in the region victory. Jack Chandler had a TD on the ground as well on an 80-yard kick return.

BEAVER 32, SAN JUAN 6: Jesse McMullin rushed for two scores and added two receiving touchdowns as Beaver rolled past San Juan to improve to 3-0 in region play.

PAROWAN 35, NORTH SEVIER 0: Parowan outscored North Sevier 28-0 in the first half and cruised in the second half to the blowout victory at home. Justice Walker rushed for two touchdowns to lead the Rams.

GRAND 42, ENTERPRISE 14: Cameron Taylor rushed for three touchdowns and Koi Cook added two more as the Red Devils secured the win over the Wolves.

3A NORTH

MORGAN 61, CARBON 0: Kade Carrigan caught three passes for 80 yards and three touchdowns to help Morgan to the lopsided win at home. Ben Saunders threw five TD passes as Morgan shutout the Dinos.

JUDGE MEMORIAL 25, GRANTSVILLE 14: The Bulldogs scored 25 unanswered points to cap the come-from-behind victory over Grantsville. Kaden Elliss had three passing touchdown as well as a 53-yard scoring run to lead Judge Memorial.

EMERY 41, UNION 21: The Spartans scored early and often to pick up the road victory over Union.

MANTI 35, DELTA 14: Bradley Sego broke the plane two times to lead Manti to victory over Delta on the road.

RICHFIELD 28, NORTH SANPETE 0: The Wildcats capitalized on four North Sanpete turnovers -- three fumbles and an interception -- and Spencer Henderson contributed a rushing and a passing score along with four PATs as Richfield remained undefeated.

JUAB 48, CANYON VIEW 16: After jumping out to a 41-0 lead at the half, Juab cruised past Canyon View to move to 2-0 in region play. Dalton Harmon and Dedric Davidson each rushed for two touchdowns for the Wasps.

PARK CITY 21, UINTAH 13: Park City caught fire in the second quarter and put 14 points on the board to take an 11-point lead at the break. The Miners' defense remained strong and they were able to escape with the victory over Uintah.

STANSBURY 34, BEAR RIVER 22: Alexander Mackay had 15 carries for 151 yards and three Stansbury touchdowns as the visiting team improved to 3-0 in region play with the win over Bear River. Bears QB Jardee Nessen tossed a pair of TDs and rushed for another score in the loss.

JUAN DIEGO 49, TOOELE 6: Cole Nelson tossed a pair of touchdowns and ran for another to help Juan Diego keep its record perfect at 6-0. Chase Williams finished with two scores as the Soaring Eagle held Tooele scoreless until the final seconds of the game.

SNOW CANYON 35, PAYSON 24: Snow Canyon's Connor Parry carried the ball 26 times for 238 yards and a touchdown, the touchdown helping ice the victory with 3:26 remaining in the game. Payson's Easton Smith passed for 355 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.

PINE VIEW 16, DESERT HILLS 10: Pano Tiatia rushed for 75 yards on 24 carries, and Kody Wilstead ran the decisive touchdown with under three minutes remaining in the game. The Pine View defense finished with three interceptions, including one for a 27 yard touchdown.

DIXIE 41, HURRICANE 20: Ammon Takau went 25-for-30 through the air for 347 yards with three touchdowns to lead Dixie past Hurricane at home. Drew Batchelor rushed three times for 73 yards and a score, and hauled in six catches for 93 yards and a TD. Andy Appel had six catches for 114 yards and a TD for the Flyers.

DAVIS 36, VIEWMONT 0: Davis blanked Viewmont to pick up the lopsided region victory. Mitch Rogers caught two TDs and Davis Owen threw three TDs to power the home team.

SYRACUSE 28, LAYTON 7: The Syracuse defense helped the team jump out to an early lead and hold on for the road victory over Layton. Kavika Fonua led the way out of the backfield with two TDs for the Titans.

REGION 2

TAYLORSVILLE 24, GRANGER 21: Emilio Salvador had a pair of Taylorsville touchdowns, and the Warriors nailed a late field goal to earn their first region win of the season.

HILLCREST 43, WEST 23: The Hillcrest Huskies put 43 points up on the board to earn the region victory against West. Tanner Thompson led the way with four touchdown passes for the Huskies who secured their first win of the season.

HUNTER 28, COTTONWOOD 12: Hunter took advantage of six Cottonwood turnovers to secure the region opener. Nathan Uhi and Curtis Pati had 99 and 91 rushing yards, respectively.

REGION 3

BINGHAM 42, WEST JORDAN 0: Kyle Gearig rushed for the game's opening score and threw another three touchdowns to help Bingham cruise by region foe West Jordan. Dalton Schultz hauled in a pair of TDs for the Miners, who improved to 6-0 on the season.

BRIGHTON 38, ALTA 28: Brighton claimed a 10-point lead at the break and held on in the second half to defeat region foe Alta. Osa Masina was a beast for the Bengals, hitting pay dirt four times.

JORDAN 42, COPPER HILLS 0: Austin Kafentzis threw a pair of touchdowns and rushed for another pair of scores to lead Jordan to the lopsided win over Copper Hills. Clay Moss also finished the night with a pair of TDs as the Beetdiggers started its region campaign on the right foot.

LONE PEAK 21, AMERICAN FORK 14: Despite its perfect region record, American Fork allowed a late Lone Peak score in the Happy Valley showdown. The Knights in turn picked up their first region win of the season.

RIVERTON 38, PLEASANT GROVE 7: Facing a 7-7 tie at the end of the first quarter, Riverton scored 31 unanswered points to blow past Pleasant Grove on the road. Cameron Christiansen and Paden Cayias both broke the plane twice to power the visiting team.

HERRIMAN 47, WESTLAKE 14: Herriman and its powerful offense dismantled Westlake to earn another region victory. Brandon Farmer set the pace for the Mustangs, rushing for three TDs in the blowout win.

REGION 5

BOX ELDER 49, ROY 35: Box Elder's strong third quarter and offensive performance helped the visiting team come away with a region victory against the Royals. Shad Watson rushed for three touchdowns to lead the Bees.

SKY VIEW 49, MOUNTAIN CREST 16: Dane Anderson erupted for 127 yards and three TDs on 22 carries to help lift Sky View over Mountain Crest. Logan Miller also scored three TDs for the home team.

LOGAN 56, BONNEVILLE 23: Logan started the game with 28 unanswered points, then cruised from there for the region victory.

REGION 6

HIGHLAND 16, CLEARFIELD 8: Viliami Sekona carried the ball 23 times for 137 yards and a touchdown to lead Highland to the region victory. The Rams struck early and held Clearfield scoreless through the first three quarters of play.

EAST 76, CYPRUS 28: East opened the game with a 94-yard kickoff return by Preston Curtis, and continued its reign of terror Friday night in the lopsided win at Cyprus. Ula Tolutau rushed for three touchdowns and Lorenzo Manu added a pair of rushing scores for the Leopards. Isaac Valles had two passing TDs on the night.

WOODS CROSS 22, BOUNTIFUL 14: Brandon Kinsey scored on a 96-yard kick return and then Xequille Harry added an 80-yard touchdown reception as Woods Cross capitalized on big plays to knock off rival Bountiful for the second year in a row.

CORNER CANYON 35, TIMPANOGOS 7: Corner Canyon's Riley Ogden rushed for 156 yards and two TDs on 25 carries, while Michael Ebeling added three more rushing TDs to power the home team over Timpanogos. Gaige Kartchner tallied 11 tackles and four sacks, while Weston Minnick added eight tackles and a sack to lead the Chargers.

OLYMPUS 49, OREM 20: Olympus steamrolled the Tigers to bounce back from last week's disappointing loss to Corner Canyon.

SKYLINE 38, MOUNTAIN VIEW 7: Skyline got out to a hot start and never looked back in the win over Mountain View. Aleck Russon ran 147 yards and Braxton Chipman added 156 passing yards.

SPRINGVILLE 41, WASATCH 22: Springville jumped out to a big lead and cruised to victory in the second half against Wasatch. Garrett Clark's two scores set the pace for the Red Devils.

SALEM HILLS 43, PROVO 21: Porter Gustin tossed a pair of touchdowns and rushed for another to lead Salem Hills to the big win at home. Gunnar Gustin found the end zone twice for the SkyHawks.

NONREGION

NORTH SUMMIT 21, SOUTH SEVIER 7: North Summit fell behind 7-0 and then scored 21 unanswered points to come away with the road victory against South Sevier.

CEDAR 34, SEQUOIA, CALIF. 7: Cedar rolled over visiting Sequoia, Calif., to improve to 3-3 on the season as both Dallin Grover and Brecken Lewis rushed for a pair of touchdowns.

OGDEN 20, BEN LOMOND 17: The Tigers grabbed an early lead and then held on for the nonregion victory against winless rival Ben Lomond.

KEARNS 42, FREMONT 41: Amone Finau was the saving grace for Kearns, returning a kick 95 yards with 12 seconds remaining to give the home side the narrow victory. Daniel Tapusoa finished with 207 yards rushing with three touchdowns, while quarterback Bailey Floyd tossed a pair of scores for the Cougars.

DUCHESNE 34, KANAB 21: Duchesne's 21-point second quarter helped the home team escape with the win. Matt Muir rushed for 173 yards and two TDs, Dylan Despain added 184 more yards on the ground, and Trent Roberts totaled 98 yards rushing to power the home team.

LEHI 45, SPANISH FORK 13: Caden Calton rushed for three touchdowns and Ryan Absher added three TDs of his own to lead Lehi to a big win over visiting Spanish Fork.
