REGION 1

DAVIS 21, SYRACUSE 7: In a game filled with turnovers, it was Davis who prevailed after a late Syracuse fumble was returned for a score in the final minutes. Aaron Becker took the Titans fumble 55 yards untouched into the end zone for the game's final score. Both teams were unbeaten coming into Thursday's game.

SOUTH SUMMIT 2, GUNNISON 1: South Summit had goals form Kaylie Farmer and Giovanna Shannon, en route to a second consecutive region victory. Braylie Peterson netted the lone goal for Gunnison.

GRAND 3, AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 0: Shaylee Dalton found the back of the net and Skyla Shelton added one herself to provide all the necessary firepower for the Red Devils in their win against ALA.

2A NORTH

WATERFORD 1, ST. JOSEPH 0: Jacqueline Pollard netted the lone goal for Waterford, which was enough as the Ravens picked up a third consecutive region win. Lauren Groathouse recorded the shutout.

MAESER PREP 3, ROWLAND HALL 0: Savannah See had a pair of goals for Maeser Prep, who picked up a big region victory at Rowland Hall. Goalkeeper Kelsie Stonely preserved the shutout, after withstanding a flurry of Rowland Hall shots.

2A SOUTH

DELTA 1, MILLARD 1: Natalie Wall forced overtime with her 80th minute goal for Millard, but after two periods of extra time no winner could be decided in the draw.

REGION 1

VIEWMONT 2, NORTHRIDGE 0: Viewmont found goals in both periods to deliver a strong message to Northridge on the road. Haley Johnson recorded her fifth shutout in nine games this season.

WEBER 1, LAYTON 0: Courtland Howell scored the decisive goal for visiting Weber, who held Layton scoreless for 80 minutes. Nikki Pittman recorded the shutout.

FREMONT 3, DAVIS 1: Fremont extended its winning streak to five games, picking up a big win against region foe Davis. Ireland Dunn had the Darts lone goal in the loss.

REGION 2

WEST 4, GRANGER 2: Sasha Glass found the back of the net twice Thursday night, helping West to its second region win this season.

HILLCREST 2, TAYLORSVILLE 1: Hillcrest scored its second goal of the day in the final two minutes to pull away with the narrow road victory over Taylorsville. Rosa Cortez and Emily Sorge both scored to lead the Huskies.

COTTONWOOD 8, HUNTER 0: Brooke Evans bagged four goals, and Emma Stuart added a pair to give Cottonwood the lopsided region win over Hunter. Camille Jones recorded the shutout.

REGION 3

ALTA 1, BINGHAM 0: Lexi Holden had the lone goal of the game for Alta, who picked up a third consecutive region win at Bingham. July Gentry recorded the Hawks shutout.

COPPER HILLS 6, WEST JORDAN 1: Maya Meade netted a hat trick, and Copper Hills picked up its first region win of the season at West Jordan.

REGION 4

AMERICAN FORK 2, LEHI 1: Laken Flinders and Jenna Shepard both found the back of the net to lift American Fork over Lehi.

RIVERTON 3, WESTLAKE 0: Hailey Skolmoski was able to bury a pair of goals for Riverton, as the Silverwolves held Westlake scoreless in the region match. Bre Empey recorded the shutout.

LONE PEAK 4, HERRIMAN 1: Lone Peak came running out of the gate, scoring twice in the first 6 minutes. Tess Arnold, Natalie Lewis, TJ McKendrick, and Kylee Parke all scored a goal a piece in the Knights victory.

REGION 5

MOUNTAIN CREST 3, ROY 0: Mountain Crest methodically handled Roy, picking up the win on the road.

LOGAN 2, OGDEN 1: Demi Lopez buried a penalty kick late in the game, her second of the match, to give the Grizzlies a one-goal advantage that would hold for a region victory.

BONNEVILLE 5, BOX ELDER 4: Bonneville picked up the intensity in the second half, scoring 4 times to get the come from behind victory. Ellee Hall scored a hat trick for the Lakers.

REGION 6

EAST 9, KEARNS 1: Nell Stevens headed a big day offensively for the Leopards, scoring a hat trick in the win over Kearns.

HIGHLAND 5, JUDGE MEMORIAL 1: Jade Larsen led the Rams with two scores, as Highland jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the region battle against Judge.

BOUNTIFUL 2, WOODS CROSS 1: Abby Clark and Christina Plank both netted first half goals to give Bountiful the lead and then assisted their teammates to hold on for the win.

CLEARFIELD 6, CYPRUS 0: Clearfield extended its winning streak to six games behind two goals from Brinley Adams. McKenna Sill recorded the shutout.

REGION 7

CORNER CANYON 5, MURRAY 1: Bayley Bruner scored a hat trick to push Corner Canyon past the Spartans in Region 7 action.

SKYLINE 7, OREM 0: Rachel Gordon had a pair of assists for Skyline, who put on a clinic in the region win at home. Holly Daugirda bagged four goals, while Hillary Weixler recorded the shutout.

TIMPANOGOS 4, MOUNTAIN VIEW 0: Four different girls had an assist for Timpanogos, who behind two Devri Hartle goals managed to shake a scoreless first half with four second half goals.

REGION 8

MAPLE MOUNTAIN 3, SPRINGVILLE 2: Elise Flake scored the winning goal with 10 minutes remaining in the match to turn away the comeback attempt from Springville.

TIMPVIEW 3, SALEM HILLS 2: Timpview came off victorious in a tough physical match thanks to goals from Kamryn Worthington, Lindsee Moffat, and Dakota Smith.

REGION 9

SNOW CANYON 1, PINE VIEW 0: Snow Canyon held defensively, only allowing three shots on frame in the region victory. Grace Walton recorded the shutout.

CEDAR 6, DESERT HILLS 4: Cedar got scores from five different players, including two from Courtney Carpenter, and prevailed in a high scoring match versus Desert Hills.

CANYON VIEW 4, HURRICANE 0: After playing a closely competitive first half, Canyon View pulled away from Hurricane thanks to two second half goals from Sadi Adams.

REGION 10

JUAN DIEGO 1, PARK CITY 1: Neither team could gain an advantage in either overtime as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

UNION 3, MORGAN 1: Union rolled to victory behind second half goals from McKell Goodrich and Shianna Thompson, who scored twice in the match.

REGION 11

BEAR RIVER 3, TOOELE 1: Sadie Croney scored a pair of goals for Bear River, who improved to 6-1-1 with the solid victory at Tooele.

REGION 12

CARBON 3, RICHFIELD 2: Kylie Paige netted a hat trick, while Carbon goalkeeper Jaylie Jensen made some incredible saves to lift Carbon to its first region win of the season. Jalynne Jensen scored both Richfield goals.

Volleyball

REGION 1

FREMONT DEF. LAYTON 25-22, 25-22, 25-20: Brooke Lamb finished with 10 kills and eight digs, Megan Gallegos scored on four aces and had 19 digs, McKenzie Burrows had two kills, 23 assists and four blocks to highlight the Silver Wolves' sweep over Layton.

NORTHRIDGE DEF. DAVIS 25-16, 25-17, 25-20: Tabby Williams led Northridge with 24 assists and four digs, while Katy Veritski contributed 11 kills and four digs in the Knights sweep.

WEBER DEF. VIEWMONT 28-30, 25-19, 25-19, 25-14: Chase Doughty and Hadley Handsaker combined for 19 kills to help Weber win three straight sets after dropping the first.

REGION 2

GRANGER DEF. WEST 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19: Aspen Chee had 12 kills, while Neriss Iloilo added 23 assists and six kills in the Granger victory.

HUNTER DEF. HILLCREST 25-16, 25-20, 25-15: Tess Mothei had seven kils, Ofo Fusitua added eight more and Tesi Feinga dished out 17 assists as Hunter cruised to victory on the road over Hillcrest.

TAYLORSVILLE DEF. COTTONWOOD 25-17, 25-11, 24-26, 25-14: Tara Gregory had 14 kills and Maddie Gibson contributed 43 assists and 18 points off her serve as the Warriors outlasted the Colts in region play.

REGION 4

PLEASANT GROVE DEF. LEHI 19-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 15-10: Sydney Lund had 24 digs and Rylan Roberts added 15 kills as Pleasant Grove edged Lehi on the road.

LONE PEAK DEF. AMERICAN FORK 27-25, 25-13, 25-15: Jaysa Funk had 10 kills, two blocks and once ace while Rylee Rodgers added 25 assists and three aces to lead Lone Peak past American Fork. Jennifer Dodge also had 14 digs in the win.

REGION 5

MOUNTAIN CREST DEF. OGDEN 25-15, 26-24, 25-14: Milanni Barnes totaled 10 kills and four aces to lead Mountain Crest to the region win. Chloe Oki and Madi Kramer also combined for 12 kills in the match.

BOX ELDER DEF. ROY: Mallory Bueller shined for Box Elder with five kills, 7 blocks and one ace to highlight the Bees' win over Roy.

REGION 6

CLEARFIELD DEF. CYPRUS 25-21, 25-21, 25-12: Eliza Evans led Clearfield with six service aces and nine kills, while Taylor Spaulding finished with 26 assists and five kills in the sweep.

WOODS CROSS DEF. EAST 25-13, 25-6, 25-19: Lexi Lewis smashed 9 kills for the Wildcats in their win over East.

HIGHLAND DEF. KEARNS 25-16, 24-26, 25-14, 25-21: Highland combined for 62 digs as the Rams defeated Kearns on the road in region play.

REGION 7

CORNER CANYON DEF. OREM 10-25, 15-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-13: Alex Hunt lead with 12 kills, and Madison Lewis finished with 16 digs to help Corner Canyon earn its first win of the season.

SKYLINE DEF. MURRAY 22-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-23: Abby Seltho had 11 kills and teammate Taylor Monson had eight of her own to boost the Eagles to the win over a stingy Murray squad.

REGION 8

SPRINGVILLE DEF. SALEM HILLS 25-23, 25-10, 25-23: Springville's Savannah Bowers, McKayla Crystal and Cassidy Bowers played exceptionally well from the back line to seal the victory against Salem Hills.

TIMPVIEW DEF. WASATCH 25-4, 25-1, 25-7: Lauryn Dela Cruz and Lacy Haddock combined for 19 kills, while Jessie Jorgensen added 19 assists and 10 aces in the Timpview sweep.

REGION 9

DESERT HILLS DEF. CANYON VIEW 25-11, 25-7, 25-8: Blair Bliss and Samantha Loe each had 13 kills, as Desert Hills rolled past Canyon view in three sets.

HURRICANE DEF. PINE VIEW 25-7, 25-14, 25-10: Kyndall Gardner had 7 kills and Brooklyn Garber added 8 kills to lead Hurricane past Pine View on the road.

REGION 12

JUAB DEF. RICHFIELD: Juab capped off a sweep of a tough Richfield squad.

REGION 18

ST. JOSEPH DEF. DUGWAY 25-4, 25-9, 25-6: Britt Sederholm had 10 kills with two aces, Jessie Bischoff finished with five kills and two aces, and Emily Jackson contributed 15 assists, two kills and three aces in the win for undefeated St. Joseph.

INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN DEF. WENDOVER 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 21-25, 25-12: ICS came away with the victory in a match that went the full five games.

NONREGION

ROWLAND HALL DEF. MANTI 25-14, 25-15, 25-13: Rowland Hall cruised past Manti in three straight sets. Marisa Eng tallied 20 kills and 24 digs to power the Winged Lion.

PARK CITY DEF. NORTH SUMMIT 27-25, 25-16, 25-17: Sammee Thomas had 36 assists, while Tressa Buckland and Whitney Wakefield combined for 23 kills in the Park City win.

TOOELE DEF. PAYSON 25-13, 25-22, 25-12: Brin Stewart had an especially impressive performance with15 kills, four aces, and 13 digs in the win for Tooele.

WATERFORD DEF. WASATCH ACADEMY 25-15, 25-20, 26-28, 25-13: The Bradley sisters, Charity and Chelsea, combined for 23 kills to lead their Waterford team to the win over Wasatch Academy.

PIUTE DEF. PAROWAN 25-9, 25-23, 25-14: Shelby Bartlett had six solo blocks, and Marlee Mathews had a great defensive game with seven digs.

ENTERPRISE DEF. SOUTH SEVIER 25-23, 25-14, 25-8: Enterprise blew past South Sevier in three straight sets. Riley Lyman had 13 kills, four digs and seven blocks; Dakota Robinson finished with nine kills, four blocks and 10 digs; and Darby Moyle added eight digs, two blocks and two kills to power the Wolves.
