The fuss in the George Zimmerman case is bothersome to me because there are so many out there forgetting what our system of justice is all about.
Our system of justice is supposed to err on the side of innocence. For this reason, we set the bar pretty high to get guilty convictions.
The Deseret News printed a letter from someone suggesting that there are questions to how the situation played out ("Zimmerman questions," July 17). Those questions should be asked, but barring evidence to the contrary, our justice system has spoken and worked as it is supposed to. We should let George Zimmerman retrieve what is left of his life. We should hope and wish him well, (of course, we should do that even if he had been convicted, otherwise we are really seeking vengeance).
