ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — After Tuesday evening's session at the National High School Rodeo Finals, the boys contingent from Utah sits in fourth place with 1,010 points, while the girls are in 20th with 220 points.
Brody Adams of St. George is the leader for all-around cowboy at 230 points, while Ryder Wright of Milford is tied for fifth at 200. Ryder Wright also leads the pack for all-around rookie cowboy.
Ryder Wright and Rusty Wright top the saddle bronc competition with 76 and 74 points, respectively.
Genola's Weslee Rose stands in sixth place in boys cutting with 143 points while Ladd king of Kaysville is tied for 11th at 141 points. Wyatt Misrasi of Tremonton posted 135 points but wasn't in the top 25.
St. George's Brody Adams is now in 12th place in tie-down roping (11.34) while Shane Hancock of Fountain Green is in 15th (11.99) and Randlett's Josh Frost is in 20th (12.81).
Adams and Washington's Dax Barnson teamed up in the team roping for seventh place at 7.68, while Benson's Cooper Larsen and Dammeron Valley's Caide Roberts are now in 25th (12.65).
Washington's Colton Turner was tied for 11th in bareback riding.
For the girls, Katelyn Badham of Delta is still in second in barrel racing, while Enterprise's Carol Lee Holt is now in 18th.
Hailey Lindsey is 25th in breakaway roping. Addy Haviland of Avon scored a 9.88 in goat tying, but wasn't in the top 25.
Springville's Karista Nusink scored a 21.15 in pole bending, but wasn't in the top 25.
Rylee Dick posted a 133 in girls cutting, but the Oakley entrant wasn't in the top 25.
Holt's Memes Streakin is in second place for Girls Horse of the Year with 30 points.
