The Deseret News mistakenly published the incorrect 4A All-Sports winner in Tuesday's newspaper due to a calculation error with the state wrestling tournament.

As a result, Mountain Crest is the 4A All-Sports winner for 2012-13, as it narrowly edged previously announced winner Timpview, 55.5 to 55.

In Tuesday's newspaper, points weren't recorded correctly in 4A wrestling for third place through eighth place. Mountain Crest wasn't credited with any points in wrestling, but it should've been credited with six for finishing third at state. Those six extra points were enough for the Mustangs to overcome Timpview by a half point.

Mountain Crest won state titles in boys swimming and girls cross country on its way to a second Deseret News All-Sports award in the past three years. The school also had runner-up finishes in football, boys basketball and girls swimming.
