4A PLAYOFFS

WINNERS BRACKET

SALEM HILLS 7, MAPLE MOUNTAIN 2: Salem Hills' Colton Hill ripped a grand slam in the top of the second, and that proved to be the difference as the SkyHawks topped region rival Maple Mountain in a winners bracket game at UVU. Garrett McEwan went six innings and picked up the victory for Salem Hills, with Zac Lundell closing the door in the seventh.

ONE-LOSS BRACKET

MAPLE MOUNTAIN 6, TIMPANOGOS 5: Maple Mountain moved onto the final day of the 4A baseball season in dramatic fashion with an extra-inning victory over Timpanogos. The Golden Eagles committed four errors, but Arik Mack came on in relief with his team trailing 4-3 and managed to settle his team down.

5A PLAYOFFS

WINNERS BRACKET

BINGHAM 11, RIVERTON 1: Eight batters in the order recorded a hit for Bingham as the Miners jumped all over their region rivals to advance to the 5A state championship against Layton.

ONE-LOSS BRACKET

LAYTON 3, RIVERTON 2: Layton survived Riverton's late surge in the seventh inning to advance to the 5A state championship against Bingham. Jaden Trujillo threw a 110-pitch, three-hitter through six innings and scattered three hits for the Lancers.

Boys soccer

4A CHAMPIONSHIP

BOUNTIFUL 2, OREM 0: Cesar Duenas and Alex Simpson score second half goals to lead Bountiful the 4A state championship victory over Orem.

5A CHAMPIONSHIP

LEHI 2, BINGHAM 0: Gui Leme and Chad Preisendorf scored second half goals to propel Lehi to the 5A state championship as it blanked Bingham at Rio Tinto Stadium.

CHAMPIONSHIP

SALEM HILLS 3, BOX ELDER 2: Abbie Tuttle homered and doubled, and Kirtlyn Bohling pitched another masterful game as Salem Hills beat Box Elder for the second time in three days to capture the 4A state championship.

ONE-LOSS BRACKET

BOX ELDER 8, PROVO 3: Sadie Blacker homered as Box Elder rolled past Provo to advance to the 4A state championship game.

5A PLAYOFFS

CHAMPIONSHIP

COPPER HILLS 4, BINGHAM 3: Copper Hills earns its first softball state title with a victory over Bingham. ONE-LOSS BRACKET

BINGHAM 7, LEHI 6: Bingham scored seven runs in the second inning and then held off a Lehi rally to advance to the 5A state championship game.
