When I was young, I often worked thinning sugar beets. We were paid according to how many rows we thinned. I also during this time worked by picking cherries, and this pay was by how many baskets we picked. So to get paid, we had to produce. Congress, however will get paid whether they work or not.
Wouldn't it be good if they did not try to work out their differences and instead worked to come to an agreement between the Democrats and Republicans? How can they in good conscience receive wages for no work? If the sequester deadline comes and nothing is done, we should pay them by not returning them to office in the next election.
