KEARNS 67, VIEWMONT 57: Dayon Goodman scorched the nets for 22 points, and Darion Brown added 19 points to lift Kearns to victory on the road. Jarom Tye led Viewmont in the loss with 22 points.

HUNTER 70, TAYLORSVILLE 52: Noah Togiai recorded a game-best 20 points, while Brandon Davies added 18 for Hunter in the region victory.


EAST 64, HIGHLAND 55: Parker Van Dyke led the Leopards with 23 points, and Mitch Grant nailed four 3-pointers to finish with 14 total points for East.


MAPLE MOUNTAIN 59, TIMPANOGOS 57: Josh Phelps hit a runner in the lane with three seconds remaining to give the Golden Eagles the two-point lead and the win. Phelps finished with 12 points and four rebounds while Kade Poulsen also scored 12 points with five boards and two steals.

OREM 61, MOUNTAIN VIEW 51: Dalton Nixon led with 19 points, Nolan Gray recorded 15 points, Zach Hunsaker had 11 points and Cooper Holt added 10 points to give the Tigers the boost on the road.

TIMPVIEW 70, SALEM HILLS 51: Dax Raymond led the Timpview attack with 19 points and six rebounds, as the home team outscored Salem Hills 34-22 in the second half of the region victory.

SPRINGVILLE 59, PROVO 43: Dawson Pedersen finished with 20 points, while Bradley Kitchen added 17 points to lead Springville to a region win. Provo only managed to score 12 points in the first half.


PINE VIEW 66, CEDAR 60: Kody Wilstead recorded a double-double Tuesday night with 20 points and 20 rebounds to lead Pine View to a region win at home.

SNOW CANYON 64, DIXIE 59: Snow Canyon used a strong fourth quarter to rally past Dixie to claim the Region 9 championship.

CANYON VIEW 52, DESERT HILLS 50: Brady Barrett and Chad Corry combined for 27 points, as Canyon View narrowly escaped with a region victory at Desert Hills.


ST. JOSEPH 61, WEST RIDGE ACADEMY 53: David Donlevy and Jordan Jones combined for 28 points, including seven 3-pointers to help St. Joseph slip past West Ridge Academy in region play.


PINNACLE 61, GREEN RIVER 50: The Panthers doubled the Green Rivers scoring output in the final quarter to rally for the victory. Jake Hardy led all scorers with 23 points and Taje Richardson contributed 19 points in the win.


PANGUITCH 54, PIUTE 43: Tyce Barney scored 22 points, and Dalan Bennett scored 15 points to lead the Bobcats at home.

VALLEY 71, MILFORD 53: Colby Spencer led Valley with 28 points, as the home team trounced Milford in the region showdown.

ESCALANTE 75, DIAMOND RANCH 62: Jesse Ahlstrom and Jake Christensen led Escalante with 22 points and 18 points, respectively, in the win over Diamond Ranch. In the loss, Mick Hardy contributed 19 points.

BRYCE VALLEY 72, WAYNE 63: Braxton Syrett recorded 35 points and nailed six 3-pointers to lead the Mustangs in the high-scoring victory. Ty Rees had 29 points and four 3-pointers for Wayne in the loss.


EMERY 53, NORTH SEVIER 49: Emery earned the nonregion victory behind a fantastic 26-point night from Bailey Faimalo. For the Wolves, Dakota Shepherd led all scorers with 28 points and hit five 3-pointers in the loss.

Girls basketball


WAYNE 73, LEGACY PREP 13: Wayne easily took care of business in the 1A play-in game, advancing to the first round on Wednesday where it will face defending champ St. Joseph.


WEBER 56, NORTHRIDGE 46: Erin Reichle and Maren Ulrich led the Warriors with 19 points and 12 points, respectively, in the road win over Northridge. In the loss, Sydnee Acord scored 13 points and had 6 steals, while Brittley Eldredge contributed 12 rebounds.

DAVIS 48, FREMONT 36: Visiting Davis held the Silver Wolves to just five points in the third quarter, while pulling away with the region victory. Natalie Mecham led all scorers with 17 points, and Jessica Richardson added 10 points for the Darts.

SYRACUSE 43, LAYTON 41: The Titans withstood a furious Layton rally in the final quarter to hold on to the region victory. Takenna Hamblin led all scorers with 19 points for the road victory, while Ashley Price scored 15 points in the loss.


TAYLORSVILLE 48, HUNTER 38: Abi Black knocked down three 3-pointers en route to 14 points, and Mattie Evensen contributed 12 points as the Warriors earned the home victory. Tess Matagi scored a game-high 15 points for Hunter in the loss.

WEST 50, GRANGER 48: In a narrow region win, Maddy Murphy and Kelsey Price combined for 28 points to help West get to .500 on the season with a 10-10 record.

VIEWMONT 64, KEARNS 35: Katie Toole and Caitlyn Larsen combined for 42 points, as the Vikings rolled in the road victory.


COTTONWOOD 54, JORDAN 41: Nichole Kristensen and Kari Uncles combined for 29 points and five 3-pointers to lead the Colt victory. Patty Daley led all scorers with 24 points for Jordan in the loss.

ALTA 55, WEST JORDAN 50: Alta opened the game with a 17-7 run in the first quarter, and never conceded the lead in the region battle. Jalissa Bagley netted 18 points in the Hawks victory.

BRIGHTON 58, COPPER HILLS 37: Maddy Chin, Alyssa Hirchi, and Lindsey Johnson scored 14 points, 12 points, and 11 points respectively in the Brighton win over Copper Hills. Shirsten Wissinger led the Grizzlies with 13 points.


LONE PEAK 55, LEHI 42: Emily Krout scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to record a double-double, as Lone Peak managed to pick up it's first region win of the season.

RIVERTON 62, PLEASANT GROVE 25: Four players scored in double-digits in the Riverton win over Pleasant Grove. In the loss, MeKenna Miles had 11 points, including three 3-pointers.

BINGHAM 51, AMERICAN FORK 43: Jillian Powell had 22 points to lead the Miners in the region win over American Fork. In the loss, Cassidy Fraughton led the Cavemen with 14 points.


SKY VIEW 65, BOX ELDER 63: All four Sky View scorers reached double digits in the narrow region win over Box Elder. Tara Goldman led all scorers with 25 points, while Lindsey Warner led the Bees with 14 points in the loss.

BONNEVILLE 53, ROY 30: Kayla Eilertson and Emilie Volk each scored 15 points, and Bonneville dominated from start to finish in the region victory at home. Cortney Porter dished out 10 assist for the Lakers.



CYPRUS 61, CLEARFIELD 58: Cyprus managed to survive at Clearfield, as Julie Caputo and Marquessa Gilson each netted 14 points to help the visiting team to a 8-2 record in Region 6.

HIGHLAND 43, EAST 35: Lily Huntsman led Highland with 13 points and Haylie Bell added 11 more, as the Rams held East to just two points in the first quarter en route to the region victory.

BOUNTIFUL 51, WOODS CROSS 44: Kennedy Merrick led all scorers with 12 points for the Bountiful win over Woods Cross. In the loss, Camille Horrocks and Hannah Petersen scored 11 points and 10 points, respectively.


HILLCREST 49, HERRIMAN 23: Karyana Fue scored a game high 17 points, including five 3-pointers to lead Hillcrest past Herriman in region play. Megan Lloyd grabbed 16 rebounds for the home team.

MURRAY 35, WESTLAKE 31: Lauren Bell and Lexi Davies each scored eight points, and Murray managed to hold off the Westlake rally late in the game.

SKYLINE 45, OLYMPUS 35: Carly Gilliland led the winning side with 12 points, and Skyline held Olympus to just eight points in the second half of the region victory.


SPRINGVILLE 59, PROVO 34: Eight players scored for Springville, as the Red Devils added another win to their perfect record. Malia Nawahine led all scorers with 27 points. In the loss, Noa Talia contributed 18 points and 14 rebounds.

TIMPVIEW 53, SALEM HILLS 50: Audrey Smith and Lauryn Dela Cruz combined to score 27 points, and lead the T-Birds in the home victory. For Salem Hills in the loss, Missy Belliston and Tiffany Madson scored 13 points apiece.

MAPLE MOUNTAIN 57, TIMPANOGOS 27: Aleksa Gappmayer and Tarin Strosser each recorded double-doubles to lead Maple Mountain in the big victory. Gappmayer had 19 points and 11 rebounds while Strosser had 15 points and 12 boards.

OREM 49, MOUNTAIN VIEW 43: Selesitila Tenney led Orem with 12 points, and the Tigers were able to hold Mountain View scoreless in overtime to pick up the region win.


JUAN DIEGO 60, OGDEN 42: Lancee Whetman led all scorers with 15 points, and Juan Diego outscored Ogden 32-22 in the second half to pick up the lopsided win.

UINTAH 51, PARK CITY 37: Erin Elder led all scorers with 19 points, while Rachel Wright recorded 12 points to lead the Utes over Park City in the Region 10 play-in game.
