SALT LAKE CITY — Utah's annual Red Rocks Gymnastics Preview will take place on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Admission and parking to the popular event are free. The doors and the Kid Zone will open at 5:30 p.m. The Kid Zone will feature Santa Claus, face painting and a poster making station.

Seating for the preview is open and the first 2,500 fans in the doors will receive exclusive team trading cards. The gymnasts will be introduced with a fireworks exhibition and will then split into two teams for an intra-squad competition. At the conclusion of the meet, they will sign autographs.

Season tickets will be on sale at the preview for as low as $40 or just $8 a meet. Tickets may also be purchased at UtahUtes.com or by calling 801-581-UTIX. Preseason sales have been brisk and are currently at around 6,000 sold.

Fans on Friday will see 10 returning letterwinners from last year's Super Six team, including five All-Americans. They'll also get their first look at freshmen Taylor Allex, Breanna Hughes and Haley Lange. For those fans who can't attend, the meet will be streamed live at pac-12.com/live/utahutes.aspx.

The Utes, ranked fifth in the preseason coaches' poll, will kick off the 2013 season at No. 2 UCLA on Jan. 12 in a meet that will be televised nationally on the Pac-12 Networks. The first home meet is Saturday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. against No. 9 Oregon State, No. 24 West Virginia and Southern Utah.
