Boys basketball

BEAR RIVER 84, LOGAN 64: Wade Miller scored 28 points with six 3-pointers as Bear River overcame an early 15-8 deficit to roll past the visiting Grizzlies. Garrett Fronk and Kody King combined to add 23 points for the Bears.

SPANISH FORK 66, CANYON VIEW 48: Ty Henry led the Spanish Fork attack with 16 points, while Cameron Money added 14 points to help the Dons cruise past Canyon View as Spanish Fork improved to 4-0 on the season.

SNOW CANYON 64, ENTERPRISE 40: Brendon Trumand and Nate Gottfredson combined for 30 points, and Snow Canyon used a 20-7 third quarter run to trounce visiting Enterprise and earn the first win of the season.

SKY VIEW 67, FREMONT 43: Jalen Moore scored a game-high 24 points, and Sky View used a 26-point first half advantage to cruise past Fremont at home.

PANGUITCH 49, KANAB 48: Dalan Bennett drilled a 3-pointer with 34 seconds remaining and then Panguitch held on the rest of the way for the road victory at Kanab. Bennett led all scorers with 17 points, while Tyce Barney chipped in with 16.

GRANTSVILLE 73, NORTH SUMMIT 53: Thanks to a great team effort, Grantsville earned a win over North Summit. Devon Arellano led the Cowboys with 18 points including five 3-pointers, while Devin Adams and Caleb Edwards combined for 28 additional points.

TOOELE 54, MOUNTAIN VIEW 48: Tyler Woodruff scored a game-high 19 points for Tooele, which finished the game on a 19-9 fourth quarter run. Justin Pollmann added 17 points in the Buffaloes first win of the season.

RICHFIELD 61, PAROWAN 38: After a hot start, Richfield continued solid play behind Brenan Thomas and Jaylon Steck who scored 15 and 14 points, respectively. Caleb Murphy had 17 points for Parowan in the loss.

PINNACLE 68, LEGACY PREP 66: Javanni Alyzayyat rebounded a missed shot and put it back in with nine seconds left to give Pinnacle the lead and the win. Alyzayyat finished the game with 10 points, Taje Richardson had 22 points,and Jake Hardy added 20 points with four 3-pointers. Kylan Gardiner led Legacy Prep in the losing effort with 34 points and five 3s.

JUAN DIEGO 47, BEN LOMOND 45: Nick Markosian and Gabe Colosimo combined for 31 points, and Juan Diego narrowly escaped with a victory despite being outscored 11-5 in the fourth quarter. Josh Hardin recorded the 14 point, 11 rebound double-double in the loss.

EMERY 60, MILLARD 50: Jackson Jensen led Emery with 22 points and three other Spartans reached double digits in the road victory. Jeffery Robison scored a game-best 27 points and hit three 3-pointers for Millard in the loss.

STANSBURY 66, ROWLAND HALL 54: Ryan Robbins led the Stansbury attack with 20 points, and Niko Chacon added 10 more to help Stansbury to a road victory at Rowland Hall.

MOUNTAIN CREST 61, OGDEN 46: Faimafili Laulu-Pututau led Mountain Crest with 23 points, while Tyler Crosbie added 16 points to help the Mustangs easily slip past Ogden at home.

BEAVER 62, VALLEY 47: Braxton Williams led Beaver to victory with a 21 point, 11 rebound performance. Chance Spencer led all scorers with 24 points, including six 3-pointers, but Valley couldn't overcome a 13-point deficit at the half.

NORTH SEVIER 72, WATERFORD 44: Dakota Shepherd scored a game-high 27 points, as North Sevier defended its home court with a lopsided victory. Mufi Hunt scored 23 points in the Waterford loss.

WEBER 74, BOX ELDER 55: Hayden Schenck poured in a game-high 27 points, and dished out seven assists to lift Weber over Box Elder at home. Shad Watson led the Bees with 22 points in the loss.

MORGAN 71, PARK CITY 47: Jake Miles led all scorers with 30 points as Morgan rolled over Park City to improve to 3-1 this preseason.

JUAB 47, AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 43: It was a 14-8 Juab third quarter that was the difference in the game. McKay Bowman recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the ALA loss.

MANTI 55, NORTH SANPETE 47: Jamen Miller scored a game-high 19 points, while Scott Hacking dropped in 14 points to lift Manti over North Sanpete at home.

CEDAR 60, VIRGIN VALLEY, NEV. 39: Cedar jumped out to a 19-8 first quarter lead on its way to an easy road victory in Nevada.

VIEWMONT 48, CLEARFIELD 38: Jarom Tye and McKay Richins combined for 28 points, and Viewmont managed to improve its record to 3-0 with the win at home.

MERIT ACADEMY 48, MAESER PREP 42: After a great first quarter, Merit held off Maeser Prep thanks to solid play from Davis Hunter and Joel Martinez who scored 18 and 16, respectively. Griffin Garner led the Lions with 14 points, in the loss.

WASATCH ACADEMY 66, SOUTH SUMMIT 46: Geno Luzcando recorded the double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Wasatch Academy improved to 4-0 on the season with the double digit victory at home.

MONUMENT VALLEY 75, MONUMENT VALLEY, ARIZ. 39: Heidi Nelson led the home team with 30 points, and Monument Valley opened the game with a 18-3 first quarter to cruise to the lopsided victory.

DUGWAY 45, INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN 41: Thanks to balanced scoring, Dugway survived a second half comeback from Intermountain Christian. The Mustangs were led by Nathaniel Broadhead and Ben Shepard who each scored 10 points and had three 3-pointers between them. Zach Paige had 20 points for the Lions, in the loss.

WENDOVER 70, OAKLEY 26: Salvador Rivera led the Wendover scorers with 14 points, and every player managed to score a basket in the blowout victory at home.

Girls basketball

REGION 20

BRYCE VALLEY 59, VALLEY 38: Brittney Frost and Whitni Syrett each scored 12 points, and Bryce Valley allowed the visiting team just 10-points in the first half to pick up the win at home.

NONREGION

TIMPANOGOS 63, LEHI 49: Jamaica Christensen went off for 25 points and added four steals to help Timpanogos dominate visiting Lehi from the first whistle.

GRANGER 49, PLEASANT GROVE 46: Lile Havili had a dominant game as she scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help Granger defeat Pleasant Grove. Pela Tapuosa added 15 points to the Lancers' cause in a game that was a battle throughout.

BONNEVILLE 53, WEBER 30: Emilie Volk finished with 19 points, while Cortney Porter chipped in 16 points with seven rebounds and six assists to help Bonneville to a solid 23-point victory on the road.

SPRINGVILLE 69, TAYLORSVILLE 27: Sarah Meredith finished with 15 points, and every player on the Springville varsity squad managed to get on the score sheet. Savannah Park and Brooke Wheeler combined for 21 Red Devil points.
