In Bob Bennett's Nov. 19 article, "Why the low voter turnout in 2012?" he refers to a Harvard publication that states two trends behind diminishing participation in American politics.
I would like to suggest another reason which I believe is greater than the two cited: Namely, there was no presidential candidate on the ballot that represented liberty, the Constitution, and the proper role of government.
People are fed up with statism. They no longer want to vote for the lesser of two evils. They say, "If I cannot vote for liberty then why vote?"
