FREMONT 28, WEBER 3: Jordan Preator rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns, as well as completing a touchdown pass to Kade Criswell as Fremont picked up its first victory of the season.
SYRACUSE 21, NORTHRIDGE 14: Syracuse quarterback Brock Anderson completed 15 of 17 passes for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Titans past Northridge in a back-and-forth defensive battle between undefeated Region 1 teams. Northridge took a 14-7 lead midway through the third quarter, but Syracuse responded with touchdowns by Kiwa Mo'o and Mason Woodward two minutes a part to take the lead for good. The Titans defense preserved the win with a fourth and goal stand at the two yard line.
LAYTON 41, DAVIS 21: The Lancers stunned Davis with the region victory as Willie Uasilla led the way with 20 carries for 100 yards and a touchdown. He also added a touchdown on an 85-yard blocked field goal return for a touchdown which was part of a 27-point second quarter for the Lancers.
VIEWMONT 13, TAYLORSVILLE 3: Viewmont earned their first win of the year over Taylorsville in a low-scoring bout. The Vikings held the Warriors to a mere field-goal as their 10 points in the first quarter proved to be the difference.
HUNTER 34, GRANGER 14: Hunter's defense was absolutely incredible against Granger's potent rushing attack - holding the Lancers to 16 total yards and Tani Lehauli, the leading rusher in the state, to negative yardage for the upset win. On offense, for the Wolverines, Trevon Johnson carried the rock 28 times for 219 yards and four scores.
KEARNS 53, WEST 27: After scoring 40 points in the first half, Kearns coasted to a victory over West. James Felila was great for the Cougars, rushing 17 times for 227 yards and three touchdowns while Colton Groissant added seven catches for one touchdown and 135 yards.
COTTONWOOD 42, BRIGHTON 35: Cottonwood picked up its much needed first win of the season behind a 21-point second quarter. Despite a valiant effort in the fourth quarter, the Bengals dropped their second straight contest.
WEST JORDAN 32, COPPER HILLS 16: West Jordan used a 20 point second half effort to pull away from its region rival Copper Hills.
AMERICAN FORK 27, LEHI 18: American Fork scored 17 points in the third quarter to move past Lehi on the road for the victory. Lopini Katoa rushed for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 19 carries.
RIVERTON 21, PLEASANT GROVE 14: BJ Newman led Riverton on both sides of the ball, recording 12 tackles and rushing three times for 75 yards in the Silverwolves region victory. Stratton Brown finished with 82 yards and two scores on five carries, scoring the first and last score of the game.
ROY 28, BONNEVILLE 21: Roy opened up quickly in the first quarter and rode the momentum throughout the second half to ultimately pick up the win. Ken Linehan carried the ball 11 times for 95 yards. Linehan added a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Royals, who picked up their first region win of the year. Connor McGuire caught four receptions for 66 yards.
LOGAN 52, SKY VIEW 17: Behind a stellar performance by Luke Falk, Logan coasted to a victory over Sky View. Falk had six touchdown passes and 457 yards on 43 of 63 passing. The 457 yards passing is the most this season by anyone in the state. Jesse Braddy and Taylor Compton had two touchdown catches apiece and had 100 yards and 98 yards receiving, respectively. The Grizzlies stay undefeated in region play with the win.
MOUNTAIN CREST 20, BOX ELDER 13: Jamison Webb found Faimafili Laulu-Pututau with an 11 yard pass in the fourth quarter to earn the come-from-behind victory for Mountain Crest. Webb went 9-for-16 with 169 yards and a touchdown on the day. He also ran in the two-point conversion following the game-winning touchdown.
BOUNTIFUL 35, CLEARFIELD 0: Bountiful controlled the tempo on defense and attacked with a balanced flow on offense during the shutout win at home.
EAST 66, CYPRUS 10: East pounded Cyrus to improve to 6-0 on the season. Isaac Valles tossed three touchdowns for the Leopards in the win. Jewka Patetefa was on the receiving end of two of those passes, and he rushed for another. Preston Burnett led East's strong defensive effort which was highlighted by a blocked punt that Burnett returned for six.
HIGHLAND 14, WOODS CROSS 0: Austin Peterson ran for one touchdown and threw one to Malcolm Card-Turner for Highland in a game that was dictated by defense. David Kocher recorded two interceptions to lead the Ram defense, which only allowed Woods Cross 178 total yards.
HERRIMAN 42, OLYMPUS 9: Brandon Farmer carried the ball eight times for 131 yards and a touchdown, in addition to a 69-yard punt return for a touchdown as Herriman scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for the victory.
SKYLINE 42, HILLCREST 35: In a wild game, Skyline's quarterback Tyler Snyder scored the winning touchdown with 26 seconds remaining in regulation - topping off a 21 point fourth quarter. The Eagles had 450 total yards on offense, with 376 of them from rushing. Hillcrest couldn't hold on after scoring 28 unanswered points.
WESTLAKE 23, MURRAY 16: Westlake battled back after trailing 10-0 at halftime and claimed the nail biting win in overtime.
TIMPANOGOS 13, MOUNTAIN VIEW 7: Timpanogos' defense was up to par, holding Mountain View to a lone score in the second half, to help out its offense that struggled to get going.
MAPLE MOUNTAIN 42, PROVO 7: CJ Hildebrand found pay dirt twice in Maple Mountain's lopsided victory over Provo. Cole Casper and KJ Hall did the heavy lifting for the Golden Eagles, with Casper carrying the ball 13 times for 112 yards and Hall adding 87 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
SPRINGVILLE 21, SALEM HILLS 7: Springville scored in the second, third and fourth quarters after falling behind earlier against Salem Hills for its first win of the year.
TIMPVIEW 34, OREM 12: Jake Lloyd threw three touchdown passes, including two to Rhett Van Leeuwen as Timpview easily took care of business against Orem in a battle of undefeated Region 8 teams.
DIXIE 54, CANYON VIEW 13: Dixie quarterback Blake Barney passed for 289 yards and five touchdowns and also rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown to lead the Flyers to the easy victory as they had a 48-0 halftime lead and a 54-0 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
HURRICANE 30, PINE VIEW 23: Jared Edwards scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in overtime, and then Hurricane's defense came up with a big interception as 3A's top-ranked team went on the road and eked out a narrow victory over Pine View. Kody Wilstead tossed a pair of touchdowns in the loss for Pine View.
SNOW CANYON 27, CEDAR 24: Mitch Phillips helped Snow Canyon improve to 2-1 in Region 9 as he rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 60-yard run.
UNION 28, PARK CITY 27: Union battled back after falling behind 14-0 in the first quarter and once again in the fourth down six points for the dramatic win. The Cougars were led by Nic Smith's three rushing scampers and another score through the air.
JUAN DIEGO 54, UINTAH 3: Juan Diego had no problem without its starting quarterback, scoring 41 first half points to remain undefeated. The win sets up an epic region showdown against Wasatch next Friday.
WASATCH 42, JUDGE MEMORIAL 31: After falling behind 17-0 early in the game, Wasatch's defense stepped up big the rest of the way and only surrendered one touchdown. James Delacenserie was huge for the Wasps complete 19-of-29 passes for 333 yards and five touchdowns. Gavin Nebeker had three touchdown catches, and Kayden Conner added two more. Josh Brown and Todd Ogilvie both had big interceptions to help the Wasps get the win.
MORGAN 24, BEAR RIVER 21: Lantzen Toomer rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown, while Ben Holland added 60 yards and a score as Morgan eked out an important region victory over Bear River. In the loss, Bears quarterback Kyle Zundel passed for a touchdown and rushed for two more.
OGDEN 36, TOOELE 3: Ogden used a big first half to put Tooele away early.
GRANTSVILLE 33, BEN LOMOND 0: Grantsville held Ben Lomond to 85 total yards on offense and behind Ky Fisher picked up the win at home.
SPANISH FORK 44, JUAB 9: Spanish Fork's arial assault proved to be too much to Juab as the Dons collected a solid region victory. Jason Money connected on 19 of 28 passes for 329 yards and three TDs. Money's two favorite targets were Cameron Money and Colton Olsen, who each hauled in over 100 yards receiving and a touchdown.
DELTA 37, CARBON 0: Ezra Seui finished with 154 rushing yards and three touchdowns, his fourth straight game going over 100 yards, as the Rabbits easily took care of business. McKay Shamo and Dallin Christiansen both played great games on the offensive line for Delta.
PAYSON 20, NORTH SANPETE 6: Devan Judd tossed a pair of touchdowns, finishing the game 12-for-33 with 212 yards in Lions first region win of the season. Judd also carried the ball 11 times for 58 yards in the region victory.
EMERY 28, GUNNISON 25: Emery scored 14 points in the fourth quarter after trailing by 11 at the end of the third quarter. Spencer Labrum threw three touchdown passes for the Spartans including the 25 yard game-winner to David Dyer. Colby Caldwell threw three touchdown passes for Gunnison in the loss.
MILLARD 49, AMERICAN LEADERSHIP 9: Millard scored early and often, including 27 points in the second quarter alone, to top American Leadership. Jesse Rhodes rushed for 251 yards, including a 99-yard touchdown run to lead Millard.
SOUTH SUMMIT 39, NORTH SUMMIT 6: South Summit won the battle of the "Summits" behind a great team performance offensively as four different players each had a rushing touchdown. Hayden Packard had one of those touchdowns and added one more on a 98-yard kick return. Bracken Santos scored 10 points for the Wildcats on two field goals and four PATs.
MANTI 42, NORTH SEVIER 20: Connor Aste went 5-for-8 on the night with 134 yards passing in the region victory. Austin Jackson carried the ball six times for 98 yards, while Jamen Miller finished the game with 38 yards on four carries for Manti.
RICHFIELD 14, ENTERPRISE 7: Richfield edged past Enterprise in a low scoring affair in the fourth quarter with the game tied.
GRAND 14, SOUTH SEVIER 13: Grand took a two touchdown lead into halftime and ultimately held on in the fourth quarter after South Sevier scored 13 points in the third.
SAN JUAN 40, KANAB 10: San Juan scored four times on the ground and Barkley Christensen added a 10-yard touchdown pass on an 85-yard kick return for the Broncos.
BEAVER 43, PAROWAN 0: Kasen Hutchings finished the game 6-for-11 with 110 yards and three touchdowns to lead Beaver to the shutout victory on the road. Jesse McMullin managed to find the end zone twice for the Beavers.
DUCHESNE 14, SUMMIT ACADEMY 0: Trent Roberts scored on a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter and then a 74-yard score in the second quarter as Duchesne eked out the narrow, defensive victory at Summit Academy to remain undefeated.
DIAMOND RANCH 56, MONUMENT VALLEY 0: Diamond Ranch scored 35 points in the first quarter and coasted from that point forward during its blowout win.
RICH 46, MILFORD 6: Kaden Thomson and Austin Groll both rushed for touchdowns as visiting Rich built a 40-0 halftime lead on Milford and easily cruised to the victory.
ALTAMONT 22, MONTICELLO 20: In the upset of the night, Kyle Foy rushed 29 times for 200 yards and a touchdown to lift Altamont to the narrow win at home. Defensively, Cassidy Smith recorded 10 tackles in the Longhorns victory.
STANSBURY 12, DESERT HILLS 7: In a highly defensive game, Stansbury was able to come out on top with help from Colton May and Jackson Clausing, who had 11 tackles and nine tackles, respectively. Offensively, Chase Christiansen scored the only touchdown for the Stallions on a 10-yard run, while Darius Johnson added two field goals from 43 and 36 yards on special teams.
