Preshepa Vladimir, a Russian rocket scientist, was drawn to Christianity as a young boy during World War II when he was taken to a concentration camp near Dresden, German as the Nazi's retreated from the U.S.S.R. A few years ago, Vladimir joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Vladimir is one of five LDS members participating in a "I'm a Mormon" type of video series focusing on Mormons in the Moscow area. All the videos are in Russian, but have English subtitles available.
The project was created by several BYU students including Alum Jed Wells, Seth Adam Smith, Christine Armbruster, Joseph Belliston and Jonathan Wright. They worked with a senior missionary couple in the Moscow area to find and meet members willing to participate in the project.
Vladimir's video is the second in the series to be published. Other videos from the project can be found at http://www.youtube.com/mormonrf. A new video will be posted every two weeks.
