1. East (2-0)

Was: 1. Last week: Game suspended. Outlook: Showdown with Jordan was cut short, but the bottom line is East was leading 28-27 at the time and can compete with anyone in Utah. Next up: vs. Fremont, Friday.

2. Alta (3-0)

Was: 2. Last week: Beat Olympus, 38-15. Outlook: No letdown after the Bingham victory as the Hawks built a 31-0 halftime lead on Oly last week before putting it in cruise control. Next up: vs. Riverton, Friday.

3. Jordan (2-0)

Was: 3. Last week: Game suspended. Outlook: Can't dwell on what might've been against East with region-opening showdown with Alta looming in two weeks. Next up: at Kearns, Friday.

4. Syracuse (3-0)

Was: 4. Last week: Beat Riverton, 23-0. Outlook: Coming off back-to-back shutouts, the Titans turn their attention to a Box Elder team that hasn't allowed a point this season. Next up: at Box Elder, Friday.

5. Bingham (2-1)

Was: 5. Last week: Beat Valor Christian, Colo., 21-20. Outlook: Avoided a two-game losing streak in dramatic fashion as it denied Valor Christian, Colo., a 2-point conversion attempt in OT. Next up: vs. Layton, Friday.

6. Northridge (3-0)

Was: 7. Last week: Beat Kearns, 41-14. Outlook: The Knights have scored 41, 33 and 41 points in three games, and there's little doubt who the Region 1 favorite is now. Next up: vs. Westlake, Friday.

7. Brighton (3-0)

Was: 9. Last week: Beat Sky View, 30-21. Outlook: Not much was expected externally from Brighton this year, but a dominant offensive line has the Bengals off to a 3-0 start. Next up: at American Fork, Friday.

8. Hurricane (3-0)

Was: 8. Last week: Beat Legacy, Nev., 43-34. Outlook: Through three games, fullback Jared Edwards already has 10 rushing touchdowns, including five last week. Next up: at Cedar, Friday.

9. Timpview (2-1)

Was: 10. Last week: Beat Lone Peak, 36-33. Outlook: Must've learned from narrow loss to Alta; because it finished the fourth quarter strong in win over Lone Peak. Next up: vs. Mountain View, Friday.

10. Woods Cross (3-0)

Was: 11. Last week: Beat Mountain Crest, 26-23. Outlook: There is little doubt the Wildcats are one of 4A's elite after impressive victory over Mountain Crest. Next up: vs. Sky View, Friday.

11. Logan (2-1)

Was: 15. Last week: Beat Bountiful, 35-14. Outlook: Following convincing wins over Cottonwood and Bountiful the last two weeks, blowout loss to Northridge was an aberration. Next up: vs. Spanish Fork, Friday.

12. Bountiful (2-1)

Was: 6. Last week: Lost to Logan, 35-14. Outlook: Ran into a defensive buzz saw last week against Logan, but has a couple easy games to re-group before Region 6 opener. Next up: at Viewmont, Friday.

13. Lone Peak (1-2)

Was: 12. Last week: Lost to Timpview, 36-33. Outlook: The offense is doing its part, but Lone Peak's defense has been much too inconsistent this season. Next up: vs. Highland, Thursday.

14. Mountain Crest (1-2)

Was: 13. Last week: Lost to Woods Cross, 26-23. Outlook: Frustrating loss to Lone Peak in Week 2 carried over to last week as Mustangs came out very slow in loss to Woods Cross. Next up: at Weber, Friday.

15. Riverton (2-1)

Was: 17. Last week: Lost to Syracuse, 23-0. Outlook: Offense couldn't get anything going last week against Syracuse, and it doesn't get any easier this week against Alta. Next up: at Alta, Friday.

16. Herriman (2-1)

Was: 19. Last week: Beat Highland, 31-14. Outlook: Following solid bounce-back win against Highland, the Mustangs should be a big favorite every week the rest of the season. Next up: at Copper Hills, Friday.

17. Highland (2-1)

Was: 14. Last week: Lost to Herriman, 31-14. Outlook: Prides itself on being a physical team, but Herriman wore the Rams down in the fourth quarter last week. Next up: at Lone Peak, Thursday.

18. Davis (2-1)

Was: 20. Last week: Beat Cottonwood, 23-12. Outlook: Since frustrating Week 1 loss, the Darts offense has played much better in back-to-back wins. Next up: at Hunter, Friday.

19. Juan Diego (3-0)

Was: 21. Last week: Beat Springville, 19-18. Outlook: Only averaging 22.3 ppg this year, but is still 3-0 thanks to great some great defense so far this season. Next up: vs. Skyline, Friday.

20. Spanish Fork (3-0)

Was: 22. Last week: Beat American Fork, 19-13. Outlook: Off to a perfect start, the Dons face their toughest test of the season this Friday at defending 4A champ Logan. Next up: at Logan, Friday.

21. Box Elder (3-0)

Was: 25. Last week: Beat Bear River, 42-0. Outlook: The Bees haven't given up a point yet this season, but the schedule gets much tougher this week against No. 4 Syracuse. Next up: vs. Syracuse, Friday.

22. Granger (3-0)

Was: 18. Last week: Beat Cyprus, 41-38. Outlook: Offense is scoring in bunches, but the defense needs to tighten things up as the schedule gets tougher in the coming weeks. Next up: vs. Judge Memorial, Friday.

23. Timpanogos (3-0)

Was: -. Last week: Beat Pleasant Grove, 27-13. Outlook: Following third-straight double-digit win, the T-Wolves are quickly emerging as a contender in Region 8. Next up: at Salem Hills, Friday.

24. Sky View (2-1)

Was: 23. Last week: Lost to Brighton, 30-21. Outlook: The Bobcats' next four opponents — Woods Cross, Mountain Crest, Box Elder and Logan — are all ranked in the top 25. Next up: at Woods Cross, Friday.

25. Pleasant Grove (2-1)

Was: 16. Last week: Lost to Timpanogos, 27-13. Outlook: The offense got a bit of a reality check in a surprisingly poor performance against Timpanogos last week. Next up: vs. West Jordan, Friday.

Dropped out: No. 24 Cottonwood
