The Deseret News recently reported on the status of the campaign war chests of Sen. Orrin Hatch and Dan Liljenquist ("Hatch spends millions on re-election campaign; Liljenquist dips into own pocket again," June 14).
Hatch raised $10.5 million to Liljenquist's approximately $800,000 — half of which has come from his own pocket. With all of the concern surrounding Washington being beholden to special interest groups, it is clear to me which candidate will have less favors to return if elected to the Senate.
