PORTLAND, Ore. — Nick LaBrocca's goal in the 82nd minute lifted Chivas USA to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over the Portland Timbers on Saturday night.

Captain Alejandro Moreno evened the match with a header off a perfectly placed cross from sub Ryan Smith in the 48th minute for Chivas USA (2-3-0), which had come into the game with only one goal this season.

LaBrocca's header for the victory also came off a cross from Smith.

The Timbers (1-3-1) failed to hold on to a lead for the second straight game. Portland allowed Western Conference-leading Real Salt Lake to score twice in the final minutes for a 3-2 victory last Saturday at Jeld-Wen Field.

Scottish striker Kris Boyd got his second goal of the season in the 17th minute for Portland.
