Former Utah quarterback Tommy Grady is leading the charge for the improved Utah Blaze of the Arena Football League. Earlier this week, abc4.com put together a nice report on Grady. The Blaze lead the AFL in scoring.

— ESPN.com's Ted Miller has put together a list of returning ball hawks in the Pac-12. Utah's Brian Blechen is No. 5.

Did the Pac-12 upstage the Big 12's television deal?

— A blogger at the Moscow-Pullman Daily News has ranked the Pac-12 starting quarterbacks. Ute signal caller Jordan Wynn is ranked No. 7.

— And finally, the Sacramento Bee reported over the weekend that San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh has given former Utah quarterback Alex Smith, who is a free agent, a playbook.
