Summer performances in Historic Nauvoo

NAUVOO, Ill. — This summer, BYU's Folk Dance Ensemble, Vocal Point and Synthesis will be visiting Nauvoo.

Also, starting May 28, several of the history sites are open later and several performances, including "Just Plain Amanda," "High Hopes and River Boats" and "Sunset by the Mississippi," resume during the summer months, along with the weekly Sunday Sociables. • BYU Folk Dancers: June 7, 8, 11, 13-18, outdoor stage, 350 N. Partridge, Nauvoo, Ill., 9:30 p.m.

• Vocal Point: June 21-22, 24-25, 27-29, July 2, outdoor stage, 350 N. Partridge Nauvoo, Ill., 9:30 p.m.

• Martyrdom remembrance: June 27, Carthage, Ill., 5:15 p.m.

• Nauvoo Pageant: July 5-30, Tuesday-Saturday, southwest of the reconstructed Nauvoo Temple, 8 p.m. (see www.nauvoopageant.org)

• Synthesis: Aug. 3, 8-10, 12-13, outdoor stage 350 N. Partridge, Nauvoo, Ill.
