Along with the usual headlining acts, everyday people from all over the nation have a chance to step into the spotlight for this year's upcoming Stadium of Fire.
America's Freedom Festival is commencing a talent search for three "extraordinary acts" to perform July 2 at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo.
The overall winner will be awarded a cash prize.
From now until March 15, potential contestants from all over the country can register online at freedomfestival.org and submit a video of themselves performing their talents.
The Freedom Festival is seeking out singers, musicians, dancers, artists, stunt performers or anyone with a fun or creative talent.
"Every year the Freedom Festival receives multiple bids from talented individuals and groups that would like to perform in some way at Stadium of Fire," said Carl Bacon, senior executive producer of this year's show, in a news release. "This competition is a new way to include many of these up-and-coming performers in our flagship event and allow them to be featured on the same stage as huge international headliners like those we've hosted in the past."
After March 15, the Freedom Festival will select the 40 best submissions to post online for the next stage of the search.
From there, the public will decide which 25 of the performers will advance to the next round for a live audition in April. Judges will choose the top 10 and these finalists will perform in a live, public concert in May where, again, judges will evaluate their performances and choose the top three to perform at Stadium of Fire.
The final contestants will perform at Stadium of Fire in front of 50,000 people who will cast the final votes to crown the winner of the competition by voting via text message for their favorite act.
Those interested should visit freedomfestival.org for more details. Registration and participation in "Stadium of Fire Talent Search" is free.
