SALT LAKE CITY — Utah received letters from a pair of highly touted quarterbacks on National Signing Day. Chase Hansen of Lone Peak High and Travis Wilson of San Clemente High in California made their commitments to the Utes official Wednesday morning.

“The Pac-12 Conference is loaded at the quarterback position and the two we signed are very talented and should fit right in that mold,” Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said in a released statement announcing the 2012 recruiting class.

Besides Hansen, other in-state signees include Syracuse defensive lineman Hunter Dimick, Hunter defensive end Mose Folauhola, Alta safety Austin Lee, Davis offensive lineman Zach Lindsay, Brighton offensive lineman Nua Poteki, East defensive lineman Vaha Vainuku and Snow College defensive lineman Tenny Palepoi.
