Shauna Poulson Dicken1950 ~ 2011Shauna Poulson Dicken, age 61 of Methow, WA, passed from this life and into the next on December 31, 2011, with her family gathered around her. Shauna was born to Dahl and Irene Poulson August 6, 1950 in Salt Lake City, UT. Shauna lived in many places throughout her childhood due to her Father's Military career.On June 6, 1981 Shauna married Kenneth Dicken, her eternal companion. They were blessed to raise one son and four daughters. Shauna centered her life around Christ and her family. Making a friend was second nature. Her love for people touched more lives than we know. She was known for her breathtaking gardens, her home cooked meals and her ability to make people happy. Shauna had an infectious smile and a positive attitude.Because of Shauna's love and respect for her ancestors, namely Patty Bartlett Sessions, she completed the sesquicentennial Mormon Trial Wagon Train in 1997. She authored a book about her trek entitled "Completing The Journey". She severed faithfully in the LDS Church in numerous callings throughout her life. Shauna was a great American patriot.She is survived by her husband Kenneth Dicken, Methow WA, Son Robert Dicken (Carrie), Conway AR, Daughters Jennifer Fife (Jameson) Cedar City, UT, Emily McClure (Joey), Spokane, WA, Christina Johnson (Matthew) Holt, MO, Sarah Hillman (Don), Elkhorn, WI, Brother Sterling Poulson (Danette), Centerville, UT, Eleven Grandchildren (with two more on the way). Funeral Services will be held in Lake Chelan, WA. at the LDS Chapel, 195 Manson Hwy, January 6th 2012. The graveside service will follow at the Methow Cemetery.
