Robert "Bob" Burton Ward, Sr.1920 ~ 2011ST. GEORGE / SALT LAKE CITY Robert "Bob" Ward, 90, died Nov. 22, 2011 in St. George.Born Dec. 28, 1920 in Salt Lake City to Frank Joseph Ward and Elizabeth Luella Peterson. Robert graduated from East High School. He worked in the family's dairy business of Arden Dairy - Sun Freeze Ice Cream (today's Meadow Gold Dairy). Retired real estate broker. He mastered the art of sales. Active member of the LDS Church. Faithful Temple worker.Survived by wife, Leora; nine children: Burton, David, Gregory, Paul, Isabel, Jonathan, Peter, Moreton and Mary; 29 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Married Leora Morton Collins January 3, 2008. Robert married Isabel Moreton on July 8, 1943, divorced. He married Florence Mae Free on May 15, 1958, deceased. Bob loved sports, the outdoors and his children.Funeral: 1:00 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2, St. George LDS 29th Branch, 550 E. 700 S., St. George. Visitations: Thursday, Dec.1st 7 - 8 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 W. St. George Blvd., and on Friday: Noon to 12:45 p.m. at the Church. Interment services: 1:00 p.m., Sat.
