VeeVee LaJuana Watson1928 ~ 2011Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt joined her husband and Heavenly Father on November 17, 2011 in her home after a long valiant battle with Congestive Heart Failure. Mom was born on July 24, 1928 in Sandy, Utah to John L. Smith and Olive Hogan. She was the second of seven children. She graduated from Jordan High School in May 1946. She married her eternal sweetheart Harold F. Watson on June 3,1946. They are the proud parents of six children. They were later sealed in the LDS Temple on June 21, 1965. Harold preceded her in death 6 years prior. Mom loved her family and friends. She loved seeing them and being with them. Her passions were quilting, crocheting, sewing, dancing and cooking. Mom worked for Jordan School District as a Lunch Manager for 24 years where she made and kept many wonderful friends. She enjoyed doing service and held many church callings in the LDS Church. Her favorite calling was a ballroom dance instructor. Mom and Dad helped many youth and couples learn how to dance. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, brother and grandson. She is survived by children Dan (Sally), Roger (Lisa), Terry, Brian (Tricia), VeeAnn (Scott) Crawford, Phil (Brenda), 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in the Canyon Rim Ward LDS Church, 1050 E. Galena Dr., Sandy, UT. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, UT and prior to services at the LDS church from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow in Elysian Burial Gardens. Condolences may be shared at www.goffmortuary.com.
