WASHINGTON — Mitt Romney and Herman Cain are neck-and-neck in Florida, a new survey of Republicans in the state finds.
The Suffolk University poll, conducted before Politico published a report on past sexual harassment claims against Cain, showed Romney at 25 percent and Cain at 24 percent in the early-voting state.
Newt Gingrich is the only other candidate in double-digits, with 11 percent.
In hypothetical general election matchups, President Barack Obama is tied with Romney at 42 percent each, and leads Cain by just 3 points, 42 percent to 39 percent.
