Lois Duke Wright1925 ~ 2011"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." Eccl 3:1Our sweet and cherished mother, angel grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Lois Duke Wright, left this earth life on Saturday, October 15th 2011. The leaves were turning, the season was changing and she was ready to return home. Lois Duke Wright was born February 3rd, 1925 in Heber City, Utah. She was the first child of Seymour B. and Mary Ann Ludlow Duke. On April 13th 1941 she married John Raymond Wright, her eternal sweetheart. They had seven children, five sons and two daughters. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lois loved the gospel. Her testimony was like a light to all who knew her. She loved the Book of Mormon and studied the scriptures every day. She served faithfully in each church assignment and calling, always giving her best effort. She loved her "Blazer Boys" and taught in the Primary for many years. She served as Relief Society President and was a dedicated visiting teacher. She served a temple mission in Sydney Australia and was a faithful Provo Temple worker. Of all her admirable qualities, we feel it important to mention one . . . her compassionate service. There is no way to number her acts of kindness and love. She loved and supported her family, church, and community. She truly lived the Relief Society motto, "Charity Never Faileth." She leaves behind a legacy of love, service and devotion to her family. We will never know the lives and the hearts she has touched with her baking, her cards, her visits, and her prayers.
