Becky Elaine Fernelius Wickes 1925 ~ 2011 Becky Elaine Fernelius Wickes, 86, of Provo, Utah, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011. She was born February 25, 1925 to Victor Carl Fernelius and Thea Amalie Rustad in South Weber, Utah. Becky joined a sister, Barbara, and a brother, Carl. She attended school in Kaysville, Utah, and graduated from Davis High School. Becky also attended Ogden Business College where she graduated from their secretarial school. Along with working on the family farm, she worked at Hill Field during World War II, and at the Boy Scout Office in Ogden. Becky married Harry E. Wickes on March 31, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple and they have three children. She loved her family and worked hard to support Harry and her children in their many adventures. She served an LDS mission with Harry in the Arizona Tucson Mission and also served in many other positions in the LDS church, including Relief Society President, Young Women's President, Primary Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, Visiting Teacher and her favorite a Temple Worker in the Provo Temple for more than 30 years. Becky is survived by her husband, Harry; a daughter, Bonnie; two sons, Gene (Gwenyth) and David (Lezlie), and her brother, Carl; six granddaughters, seven grandsons, two great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Barbara. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 18 at the Lakeside 8th Ward Chapel, 131 South 1600 West, Provo. A viewing will be held at the same location from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will be in the Uintah City Cemetery.
