Marjorie Dee Defa "Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother" Marjorie Dee Defa passed away April 24, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born December 4, 1935 to Elvin and Angeline Lewis in Tabiona, Utah. Married Basil Defa in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Marjorie enjoyed quilting, genealogy, and making glass trees with her husband. She volunteered at Welfare Square, and served in many positions in the LDS Church. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and watching the Utah Jazz. She worked as a beautician for 35 years. Marjorie was the rock of our family and was always there for us. She loved being outside planting flowers and enjoyed spending time at the family property in Tabiona, Utah. Marjorie is survived by Basil, her husband of 55 years; three children, DeeAnn, Kenny and Sherry; six grandchildren; seven great-grand children; five siblings and many, many friends. Preceded in death by her son, Ricky Todd Defa; one brother; two sisters and her parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rose Park Stake Center, 760 North 1200 West, where friends and family may visit Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
