Cathedral of the Madeleine

SALT LAKE CITY — Choral Vespers on Easter Day will be sun by The Choir of the Madeleine on Sunday at 5 p.m. Music of David Bevan, William Byrd, John Taverner and Gustav HOlst will be performed. The choir will be under the direction of Gregory Glenn. All are invited to celebrate in the service at the cathedral, 331 E. South Temple St.

Saint Rose of Lima

LAYTON — Sasnt Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel St., concludes its Holy Week schedule as follows:

Holy Saturday Easter Vigil, 9 .m. Saturday

Easter Sunday masses, 3:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., with a 12:30 p.m. mass in Spanish.

Easter Vigil, 8 p.m., Saturday.

Easter Day services, 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., Sunday.

Saint Ann's Holy Week

SALT LAKE CITY — The Holy Week schedule at Saint Ann Catholic Church, 450 E. 2100 South, concludes with:

Holy Saturday — Easter Vigil Mass at 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 23.

Easter Sunday — Masses at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 24.

Cottonwood services

Holy Saturday — Saturday, vesperal liturgy, 8:30 a.m. at both locations; singing of the cannon "Kymati Thalassis," 11 p.m. at both.

Pascha/the Resurrection of our Lord — Sunday, Paschal divine liturgy, 12 midnight at both (complimentary Paschal meal follows); agape vespers, 11 a.m. at both.

OGDEN — Holy Week schedule at Congregational United Church of Christ, 3350 Harrison Blvd., concludes Sunday with an Easter service at Beus Pond, with light breakfast, 8 a.m.; traditional service in church sanctuary, 10:30 a.m.

Murray Baptist Services

MURRAY — Holy Week schedule for Murray Baptist Church, 184 E. 5770 South, finishes Sunday with Easter worship services at 11 a.m., preceded by Sunday church school at 9:45 a.m.

Sandy ridge SERVICES

Orem Community Church

OREM — A special Easter potluck breakfast begins at 9 a.m. in the reception hall of the Orem Community Church United Church, located at 130 N. 400 East. Rev. George Lower will present a sermon titled "The Empty Tomb," with Sunday School provided during the service.

'Triumph at the tomb'

BRIGHAM CITY — Pastor Steve Barsuhn will present a sermon titled "Triumph at the Tomb," — based on Matthew 28:1-10 and examining the triumph of Christ over death and the tomb — Sunday's 10:30 a.m. worship service of Rocky Mountain Bible Church, 659 N. Main.

Before the worship services this Sunday, a breakfast will be held during the usual Sunday School time.

Day of Prayer observance

SALT LAKE CITY — Calvary Church will host the 60th annual ovservance of the National Day of Pray, with a free prayer breakfast at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at the church, 460 S. Century Dr. (4350 South). The guest speaker will be Pastor Mike Gray of Canyons Church.

Ministry garage sale

SALT LAKE CITY — Calvary Chapel Salt Lake City is collecting new and gently used items through Wednesday, June 1, for its prison and jail ministry garage sale, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 3-4.

Items can be delievered to the church at 460 W. Century Dr. (4350 South), which will also serve as the site of the two-day sale. Proceeds will go to help prison and jail mininsties in the area.
