Utah State struggled with an inferior squad Friday and now faces a team with nothing to lose Saturday when the Aggies face second-seeded Boise State in the Western Athletic Conference tournament final in Las Vegas. Top-seeded Utah State sweated out a 58-54 semifinal win over eighth-seeded San Jose State in the semifinals and will need to play much better against the Broncos, who won their eighth consecutive game by routing New Mexico State 81-63 in the other semifinal. Boise State hasnít lost since falling to Utah State in early February, and is well aware that its only chance at reaching the NCAA tournament is by upsetting the Aggies.
