Henrik Traden 9/13/1938~2/24/2011 "FYI", Henrik knows since he was the first of his family to take out US citizenship, he had left out the "e" of our last name and always refused to correct it, Ha! Ha! Henrik Traden passed away peacefully from natural causes in Bountiful, Utah Feb. 24, 2011. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark Sept. 13, 1938 to Otto and Erna Traeden. They immigrated to America in 1952 as a family with his younger brothers Jens (Dane) Traeden, Uffe Traeden and sister Ane Marie (Mia) Nord, and settled in Ogden, Utah. After serving a successful LDS mission back to Denmark, he was drafted into the US Army where he specialized as an aerial photograph interpreter. He then worked his way through college at Continental Baking Co. He received a BS degree in Accounting from Weber State College and his MBA from the U of U. He spent the next fourteen years in NY City as an internal auditor for a national accounting firm and truly enjoyed his many friends in the Brooklyn Branch and all that the "Big City" life offered! He spent his remaining years in the Salt Lake and Bingham Canyon area. Preceded in death by his parents Otto and Erna Traeden and is survived by his siblings, his many nieces and nephews and their children, and all his relatives in Denmark. A graveside service will be held at Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Camp Williams, Bluffdale, Utah, on Saturday Feb. 26, 2011 at 12:00 Noon. The family expresses heartfelt thanks to all the staff and his fellow friends at Life Care Center of Bountiful who truly enriched the last two years of Henrik's life! Also, much appreciation to Inspiration Hospice and their volunteers for their concern and loving care these last days. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humanitarian Fund of The LDS Church.
