Marilyn Merritt King True Life has just begun Pain and Sickness gone 1934 ~ 2011 Marilyn passed away at her home in Farmington, Utah on February 16, 2011 from her third battle with cancer.Marilyn was born on May 7, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Aca Nathan and Edna Beatrice (Cude) Merritt. Marilyn married Milton D. King in the Salt Lake Temple on June 24, 1955. They had five children, Julie Ann King Figgat (Paul), Michael Douglas King, Bonnie Lynn King (passed away on 11/17/09), Deborah Ann King Stromberg (Bryan), and Matthew David King. She has six grandchildren and one great grandson. Marilyn loved music, gardening, and swimming. She was a faithful member of the LDS church. She touched many lives with her sweetness, friendliness, and loving care. Services will be held February 19, 2011 at the Davis Creek 1st Ward Chapel, 825 South 50 East, Farmington, Utah at 12:00 p.m. A viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the ward. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah. Many thanks to all those who offered their faith and prayers in her behalf, visited her, and helped take care of her during her illness. It is requested that in lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
