R'Dean Lindsay Lauritzen "YaYa" R'Dean Lindsay Lauritzen, our precious and beloved mother, sister, cousin, aunt, friend and YaYa, was reunited with her Heavenly Father, family and friends in Heaven on January 29, 2011, in Holladay, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church.Born April 3rd, 1940 to Robert Dean and Gladys Miles Lindsay in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended and graduated South High School in 1958. Married Terrill E. Lauritzen in 1963, later divorced. She put herself through college and went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Westminster College in 1980. She then became the first female adult probation and parole officer in the state of Utah. She later retired from Utah Dept of Corrections. She was an advocate for women's rights and helped many women acquire non traditional jobs. She raised six children who will always remember her strength, courage and the love and dedication she had for her family. She loved camping, music and dancing in her pajamas with her grandchildren. Friends of "Rusty" admired her fighting spirit. She will be dearly missed by all. Survived by her sisters: Mrs. Floyd (Kay) Pelland, Mrs. Ray (Paula) Kaighn; children and their spouses: Mrs. Matthew (Heidi) Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lauritzen, Ms. Michelle Lauritzen, Mrs. Steven (Michalein) Zwiesler, Mrs. Bryan (Nanette) Beck and Mr. Robert E. Lauritzen; 19 grandchildren; three great-grand-children. Preceded in death by her mother and father; and brothers: Robert and Newell Lindsay. Her family would like to express their gratitude to Michelle, Jessica and Kelli for the love and care they provided. "YaYa, may the Angels wrap you in their wings and carry you home." Funeral services will be held Sat., February 5, 2011, 1:00-2:00 pm, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Interment, Heber City Cemetery, 3:00 p.m.
