Irene Kunigunda Kleinlein Goff 5/16/1934 ~ 1/13/2011 Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and neighbor, passed away January 13, 2011. She was born May 16, 1934 in Nuenberg, Germany to Konrad and Elsa Elly Schoepf Kleinlein. She immigrated to the United States in 1952 aboard the Queen Mary. On March 1, 1957, she married Ronald Eckardt that marriage ended in divorce. She soon met and married the love of her life, Ray Wood Goff. They married July 1, 1967 in Ely, Nevada. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the LDS church. She served well in the extraction program, which she loved with all her heart. At the time of her death, she was volunteering at the Salt Lake Temple as a telephone operator. Irene always loved crocheting, knitting, making crafts, cooking, and making items for others. She took great pride in her lovely home and her beautiful flower gardens and pine trees. She loved her family, her many friends, and her neighbors. She enjoyed working for 30 years in the insurance business where she later retired. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Ray and her parents. She is survived by her son, Michael Ray Goff, Salt Lake City, Utah ; and her daughter, Lori Ann Nelson, Idaho Falls, Idaho; grandchildren, Patience Allen, Alden (Nicholena) Allen, Brandon (Khalea) Allen, Jeremy (Destiny) Nelson; great grandchildren Sebastian Allen, Jayden Nelson and Alyssa Nelson; and a brother, Stephen Kleinlein. She loved everyone she touched. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 12:00 noon at the Winder 4th Ward, 951 East 3825 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to service. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
