Blog safety

Published: Tuesday, July 7 2015 11:52 a.m. MDT

1. Decide how much personal information you post on your blog, including your address, the name of a spouse, friends or child, and photographs
2. Consider how you want to be perceived online. Do you want to be seen as aggressive or easygoing?
3. Have a plan of action for online safety and if your blog is attacked.
4. Consider how accessible you are offline. Can someone see a photograph of your house online, then track you through an address in the phone book?
5. Understand what personal information your Internet service provider and other online services keep and share about you.
6. Be aware of cookies.
