Pioneer Day festivities run statewide all week

A variety of Pioneer Day activities are scheduled around the state this week. Activities include:

Beaver County

Thursday:

Beaver: 5K Run/Walk, registration at 6:30 a.m., event at 7 a.m., fee $2 or $10 with T-shirt. Pioneer Day parade, 9:30 a.m. Pioneer Day festivities, 11 a.m., City Park. Pioneer Day dinner, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., City Park. Free swimming, 2-5 p.m., Pioneer Park. Horse racing, 2 p.m., racetrack; fireworks, 9:40 p.m.

Friday:

Pioneer Cruisers Poker Run: 4 p.m. Sign-up 5-6:30 p.m. for race at Pioneer Park, Beaver.

Saturday:

Pioneer Cruisers Car Show: 8 a.m. registration, 11 a.m. show, 4:30 p.m. awards ceremony, all at Pioneer Park, Beaver. Cruise Main Street at 7 p.m.

Horse races: 2 p.m., racetrack.

Pioneer Days Rodeo: 7:30 p.m., Riding Club Arena.

Davis County

Wednesday:

Bountiful Handcart Days parade: 6 p.m., begins at Five Points, 1500 S. Main St., goes north to 400 North then west to Bountiful City Park.

Thursday:

Pioneer Day Utah Symphony Concert: 8 p.m., Ed McKinley Amphitheater, Layton.

Fireworks at Lagoon: 10 p.m.

Emery County

Thursday:

Cleveland: Family barbecue, 6 p.m., Town Hall. Karaoke contest and concert by Encore, 7 p.m., schoolyard. Fireworks at dusk at the schoolyard.

Garfield County

Thursday:

Tropic: Pioneer Days parade 9 a.m., followed by carnival and lunch in the park.

Juab County

Thursday through Saturday:

Medieval Faire: 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Young Living Heritage Park, 3700 N. Highway 91, Mona. Includes performances of "As You Like It."

Salt Lake County

Thursday:
