'Wildlife Adventures' planned at museum

PROVO — Take a walk on the wild side.

A series of "Wildlife Adventures" for children ages 5 to 12 is planned at BYU's Monte L. Bean Museum.

Classes are from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, and 8 a.m. to noon on Thursdays but are subject to change due to field trip travel. A snack is provided on Thursdays.

Cost is $30 per week. Classes include:

• July 8 and 10 — "Up, Up and Away!" Take a trip to the Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City.

• July 15 and 17 — "Farm Friends." Learn about cows, pigs and horses during a trip to Thanksgiving Point.

• July 22— "Wagon Round-up." Experience life as a pioneer.

• July 29 and 31 — "Rock Out." The group climbs to 9 Mile Canyon.

• Aug. 5 and 7 — "Cavernous Crusade." The group explores Timpanogos Cave.

Students must register with the museum one week prior to the class.
