Pioneer trunk to drop in at 6 Salt Lake libraries

Grandma's pioneer trunk will open at six Salt Lake City libraries this month to entertain and inform children in a presentation by This Is the Place Heritage Park. Inside the trunk children will find unique pioneer clothes, toys, and other artifacts that tell the story of her journey.

The event will be at the Sweet Branch, 455 F St., on Saturday, July 12, at 2 p.m. Then, it will move to the Sprague Branch, 2131 S. 1100 East, on Wednesday, July 16, at 11:30 a.m.

The remainder of the schedule is: Thursday, July 17, 7 p.m. at the Anderson-Foothill Branch, 1135 S. 2100 East; Monday, July 21, 2 p.m. at the Chapman Branch, 577 S. 900 West; Tuesday, July 22, 7 p.m. at the Day-Riverside Branch, 1575 W. 1000 North, and concluding on Wednesday, July 23, 7 p.m. at the Main Library, 210 E. 400 South.
